I really do hate building drop pods. The paint and stuff isn’t the bad part, it is getting the damn things to work right, as in doors open and close fully. I swore i would never build any more of them, oh well, I need them
500 point game
Had a little game today at HT against Erik Angel playing his new Orks.
I had my Captain, two 10 man Tactical squads and a razorback, he had a crap load of Gretchin, four Commandos, a Deff Dread, Big Mek with a Shokk attack gun and three Deffkoptas.
That damn Shokk gun took out two Marines from 2nd Squad on the very first shot. The Shokk gun is a little unpredictable even before the scatter dice are thrown and he wound up taking out more Gretchins than Marines!
It was a fun relaxed game, and my Marines wound up wiping out every Gretchin. Eric did forget to run them for the first two turns. Had they run they would have been in assault before the 3rd turn and much less depleted.
I did lose half of 2nd Squad and one Marine from 1st Squad and Captain Mara had two wounds.
Good game Erik, look forward to another round soon!
Future additions to 3rd Company
There is one big addition soon to come, it will be big and will bring 3rd Company to a whole new level.
But I also am planning to round out 3rd Company with three more Tactical squads. And if I get my $$ situation straightened out, maybe another Assault squad. This will also mean I have to add two more rhinos too.
So, I do need five more Tactical marines to round out a ten man squad.

Here is 3rd Company
I have a few small additions to be made. Some Tac Marines with special weapons, five more Tac Marines to round out the 3rd ten man squad.
Now I will be going back and doing touch ups on some of the early work. I admit I did kind of skimp here and there on some. One problem that I am going to have to work on is a part that somehow fell off the land raider. It is one of the parts that gets installed from the inside and I have no idea how Im going to fix it.
But, over all I am pretty happy with the army.
